The first Global Land Forum Youth will be a two day event where young people will exchange ideas, strengthen a global network and build together an agenda to address the main challenges young people face in accessing land and protecting their territories around the world, with a special focus on Jordan.
It will bring together 100 young people (18 – 35) involved in regional initiatives in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean and Europe, Middle East and North Africa. 50 of the young people participating will be from Jordan, the host country.
It will feature a variety of activities including thematic debates, interactive sessions and trainings.

26-year-old young woman activist working for ILC member PAKISAMA. She’s responsible for the organisation’ Young Farmers Programme, which aims to empower the rural youth by securing land rights and access to full value chain support services.

Ensuring the indigenous peoples customary land rights in Bangladesh is one of my desires as a youth leader working for land rights. I also hope our government will resolve land disputes in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) which were illegally occupied by the state and non-state actors.
